Below we look at the daily diary of events and reflections:
24th January 2023
Bengt, Nic, David and the Biogredia Team prepared to welcome their speakers, delegates and colleagues to our 8th Annual summit in Gstaad in the Swiss Alps, starting 25th January 2023.
This year’s summit was entitled “Enhanced Nutrition in a Digital Age” and a variety of speakers from the health and nutrition sector and beyond were due to attend. This is a special occasion for Biogredia and our intention was to share as much relevant information as possible.
Before the event we asked Biogredia CEO Bengt Hansson about his expectations for the event, ” As a company, we invest a lot into this unique event, where we bring suppliers, customers, contractor manufacturers and other industry figures together in this beautiful setting.” Bengt continued ” the event gives everyone present the opportunity to network, learn and discuss new innovations in our sector and provide the inspiration for new projects and partnerships. It also gives Biogredia the opportunity to demonstrate in person our company values of a professional and proactive service based on strong personal connections. The number of returning delegates demonstrates to us that this is an event which justifies their time and budget investment.”
25th January 2023
As our delegates started to arrive, Bengt and the team were making final preparations for the evening’s welcome reception and dinner at The Grand Chalet.
We asked UK Sales Director Nic White for his thoughts on this event, which was now in its 8th year. Nic told us,
“They say time flies when you’re having fun, which when thinking about our annual summit in Gstaad, it’s most certainly true – and not just in the regard that the 3 days always feels like it goes way too quickly, but also the fact that this is our 8th annual conference – where did those years go?! Each conference supersedes the last, and testament to this is those who return year after year – for many, this has become a ‘must attend’ event.”
Nic continued “Our credo is that business should be fun, and that’s what we aim to provide in Gstaad – a memorable event to attend, not just for our customers, but our supply partners too. With the Swiss Alps as a backdrop, Gstaad has so much to offer – from the stunning scenery, to the opulent hotels and amazing food & wine – the environment is conducive to networking, sharing ideas, learning, and so much more besides.”
26th January 2023
The Conference Chair was Nick Morgan. Nick is Director of Sports Integrated and was additionally a speaker at the Conference. He is a leading voice on the sports and active nutrition category and in particular its evolution and the role of innovation. Nick has previously worked with elite athletes as an Exercise Physiologist, and managed applied nutrition research programs at GSK.
Thursday included sessions on:
Biohacking
Health impacts of the digital era
Alibaba
Holy Energy
Nutrition Branding strategy
Added to these, our keynote speaker Lucy Goff told the story behind the rise of LYMA Life. Following a health episode which had a major personal impact, Lucy left her career in journalism and public elations to set out to change people’s lives with the creation of the LYMA Supplement. LYMA’s natural engineering approach applies the latest scientific and technological breakthroughs to the genius of nature to make products that are proven to work.
The day concluded with social activities (a horse sleigh ride or curling) and concluded with a traditional Swiss meal in the neighbouring town of Saanen.
27th January 2023
Topics presented included:

The 27th was the turn of our suppliers. In this session we heard about the innovations that our suppliers were bringing to our industry sector. Some of the presenters are featured above. In total we heard from seven presenters who updated attendees on products from their portfolios and which are available from Biogredia. We also heard about technical advances in production, new products and new ways in which messaging of these new developments are being marketed.
The entire event was filmed, and we intend to make some content available over the coming weeks once the edits are completed. Feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive, and work has already started to make Gstaad 2024 even better than its predecessors.
